Star Trek (The Television Show): Main Theme
Alexander Courage began working in Hollywood in the 1940's as an orchestrator. He is a long-time associate of John Williams and has made numerous arrangements for the Boston Pops. His music for the Star Trek T.V. show is a sort of cosmic "Begin the Beguine," a gracefully orchestrated, floating melody evoking space, grandeur and travel among the stars.

• The special effects which open and close this album were created by Frank Proto, composer, jazz pianist and member of the Cincinnati Symphony double bass section. They were produced on a Synclavier II at Liben Studios in Cincinnati.
